What is WHIS®barrier?
The WHIS®barrier is an innovative noise-reducing solution developed by 4Silence. Unlike traditional sound barriers, the WHIS®barrier uses the principle of diffraction to reduce traffic noise in its propagation path. It consists of a series of specially designed sound diffractors placed alongside the road. These diffractors alter the path of the sound waves, directing them upward and reducing noise levels in the surrounding environment. This approach allows for effective noise reduction without the need for tall, obstructive walls. In addition, the system combines both safety and noise protection, and is CE-certified according to Standard 1317.
