In Nijmegen, a total of 636 meters of WHIS®wall has been installed. This innovative low-level noise barrier combines a weathering steel diffractor with a low noise barrier, achieving a total height of just 1 meter. Despite its modest height, the WHIS®wall effectively reduces noise by 7 to 9 dB, equivalent to the performance of a conventional 3-meter-high noise barrier.
