As a durable alternative to silent asphalt
The WHIS®stone achieves the same reduction as silent asphalt, but with the added benefit that the reduction doesn’t decrease over time, so you don’t have to replace it.
As a cheaper, environmentally friendlier alternative to a noise barrier
Even though the WHIS®wall is only 1 meter high, its noise reduction is similar to a 3 meter conventional noise barrier. This saves a lot of weight and time when building. In other words: you don’t have to lay a foundation, and you can produce up to 300 meters per day.
Of course this solution is also very nice for residents: the view is largely preserved.

As an added reduction on top of (existing) noise barriers
When extra reduction is needed, you can add the WHIS®top. This lightweight aluminum diffractor is perfect for mounting on most existing noise barriers. At only 20 centimeters, it produces the same reduction you’d see from raising the barrier 2 meters.
It weighs only 40 kg m2 and doesn’t add any wind load. That makes it easy to install, since no expensive changes to the existing construction are required.
